That pattern matters: drainage capacity, not total rainfall, is what fails. A drain that handles a slow soak will overflow in a fifteen minute storm.

What should be done before rainy season starts?

Clear all drains and canales, inspect and patch the roof coating, reseal parapet cracks, check window and door seals, confirm the sump or garden drainage runs, trim branches over the roof, and photograph the roof condition in May so you have a before reference.

A cleared drain costs almost nothing. A resealed parapet is a modest half-day job.
